“A home should be a reflection of the people who live in it. Antique and vintage furnishings and decor bring a special feel to a home. I love mixing old and new and I especially love helping clients reflect their personal style in the spaces in wich they live.”

Mary and Wilma began as a curated collection of antique, vintage and funky finds — bringing to life the vibrant spirit of Beth Hubrich’s grandmothers, Mary and Wilma. Beth’s home is filled with a mix of old and new, showcasing Mary’s adoration of animal prints and vivacious love of the color green, and express Wilma’s eclectic and fun sense of adventure. Want to use a giant black clam shell as a fruit basket? Beth says, “Why not?” Or, wow your guests and use it to hold beverages for a fun summer soiree and then paperwhites at the holidays.
What began as a business selling antiques and vintage pieces morphed into design consultations as people sought Beth’s expertise at mixing old and new and finding their own true personal style in their home.
Beth’s work has been featured in Birmingham Home and Garden, HGTV, Southern Living, Homeworthy and more.
“Thank you for inspiring me to finally use my grandparents’ things that I’ve inherited and stuck in a closet. I am now SO into all the vintage fun stuff.” -M&W client

THE INSPIRATION
A home is a personal and intimate space. It’s where we celebrate and do life. With that in mind, Beth named her business after two wonderful and meaningful women in her life -- her maternal grandmother, Mary and her paternal grandmother, Wilma. Just like each client’s home, these women and her business are a personal affair. Beth loves mixing old and new, taking funky finds and using them in new and inspiring ways and helping clients find their personal style in the spaces they hold dear — making them both functional and beautiful.

According to Beth, Mary was the original Martha Stewart. She could make something beautiful from nothing. Beth has wonderful memories of baking with Mary, playing Rummy and watching Mary style her home with beautiful pieces and clippings from the yard. Beth inherited Mary’s love of green, birds and animal print.

Wilma was a determined, kind country gal who made the best cheese grits. She had an eclectic, kitschy flair. She married a farmer, but went back to school to become a teacher. In her home, she had a pink bedroom, a green bedroom, and a blue bathroom. She loved people well and always made them feel welcome.
