SERVICES

Beth offers several services including In person and Virtual Design Consultations along with In Person Shopping experiences. Read below for more and to book your service.

In Person Design Consultation
A design consultation is perfect:

  • If you are seeking an eclectic, fun, functional space AND need some advice on where to start or how to add those special extra layers.  This is a great option for those who want to work on their home over time.

  • If you are a design lover and enjoy working on your home and want to implement your own plan, but still need some direction and assurances.

  • If you are not ready to purchase new pieces and want to shop your own home and make it feel more functional and stylish. (Sometimes it just takes a new pair of eyes and moving pieces from here to there).

A design consultation involves one hour of in person consultation (within the communities of Cahaba Heights, Vestavia, Homewood and Mountain Brook). The remaining time allows us to source and follow up on any necessary items and make specific recommendations to help you implement the next steps. Please note that if you require additional hours beyond the initial design consultation, we are happy to help and will bill those at an hourly rate.

Virtual Design Consultation
The Virtual Design Consultation is for those who are not local. It works the same way as the in person design consultation but we will do everything via Zoom or FaceTime.

In Person Shopping
Love vintage and antiques but not sure where to go or what to buy?  Let us help.  With our expert eye we’ll help you find the perfect pieces to make your house feel like a home all while providing insights and education about antiques, vintage pieces and more. Not only will you leave with some beautiful items, but you will leave with an eye that is better trained for hunting — allowing you to better search for vintage pieces on your own. You’ll have a better understanding of what to look for and how to fill your home with pieces you love and are a reflection of your personal style.

Speaking Engagements
Beth loves to inspire people to surround themselves and live with the things they love. She has spoken to groups that range in size from 15 to 150+ about

  • overall design and aesthetics

  • how to find their personal design style

  • encouraging them to take risks when it comes to design, purchasing funky finds and more!

FAQs:

  • First, fill out the inquiry form to tell us about your project and what you want to accomplish.  Once we receive the form, you will receive additional information about the consult and a link to book a time for the consult (wither in person or virtually). Once the consult is booked, you will work with Beth directly either in person or virtually.  If you choose virtually, prior to the consultation you will receive either a zoom link (unless you decide to discuss via FaceTime). During the consultation, you can show Beth your space, ask questions and receive her expert feedback and suggestions. Consultations are very fluid depending on the needs of the client.  This is a TAILORED experience and you set the agenda.  Beth will work with you on what you want to work on and you can structure the time accordingly.  Once the consult is complete, Beth will follow up with the appropriate resources and information so that you can work towards creating a space that is uniquely you.

  • While it is always up to you, it helps to let us know more about your style and what YOU like.  Inspiration pictures are always welcome in advance of the consultation as well information about what you want to accomplish and pictures of the current space.  Think about what you want to do, how you want the space to feel, your overall budget, how the space will function,  your personal style and things you do and do not like.

  • Once you have completed the inquiry form, Beth will send a follow up email with rates and other detailed information.  From there, you can choose to book a date that works with your schedule. Clients find that it is well worth the investment given the confidence and direction they receive to move forward in a space that feels, beautiful, warm, welcoming and that truly reflects who they are. A consultation includes one hour of an in-home or virtual consultation plus follow-up information from Beth with resources and action items to help you implement the design aspects discussed at the consultation.

  • Once the consultation is complete, Beth will follow up with additional resources.  However, if you find you need additional design help after the consultation, we are happy to do that.  We have a two hour minimum (after the consultation) and bill hourly as needed.  If you feel that is something you need, please email us and we will be glad to assist you.

  • The beauty of a design consultation is that it lets you work on your space on your own time within your budget.  Beth will help guide the direction of the space and provide resources but you get to choose when to implement the pieces of the space.  Beth will work with you to find budget friendly pieces (if needed) and will show you how those pieces can be upleveled in a way that feels more curated and “designer worthy.” A design consultation works with all budgets. Beth has found that her clients truly enjoy the process, making time to find just the right piece at the right price.  The joy is in the journey.

  • If you love vintage and antique pieces but struggle with making decisions on what to purchase OR if you peruse antique malls only to be left with analysis by paralysis, Beth can help.  The in person shopping experience includes two hours of Beth’s time at your favorite stop(s) (or she can recommend a few places). Beth will not only help you decide what to buy, but clients say they leave this experience feeling empowered and educated about how to use pieces AND feel more confident the next time they shop.
